Flood press release: No threat to tourist destinations

Hungarian Tourism Plc. would like to hereby inform service providers and institutions involved in Hungarian tourism as well as individual tourists that Hungary's key tourist destination areas are no longer affected by the flood of the Danube.

According to the latest reports, the Danube flood wave has already peaked in Budapest, and the water levels will now continue to decrease.

Hungarian tourist regions that are popular among and are frequently visited by foreign tourists are not endangered any more and it is completely safe to stay and consume water in Hungary's tourist destination areas.

Tourist flows into Hungary are entirely unhampered, and all the components of the complete tourist infrastructure, including airports, accommodation establishments, other providers of tourist services and attractions are available for guests as usual.
