World Touring Car Championship 2013

4-5 May, Hungaroring, the by now traditional racetrack of Europe is giving place to the 7th and 8th Race of the FIA WTCC Championship.

Hungaroring is about to welcome a real springfeast in May for the great pleasure of all autosport lovers.

Obviously we can say that all this happens in view of last years' great success. For sure everybody remembers last year's event which brought huge international reputation for Hungaroring. The unforgettable, grandiose victory of Norbert Michelisz in front of sixty thousand enthusiastic spectators celebrating on the spot! It is impossible to forget it, isn't it?

But lets turn back to the year 2011 when despite of the heavy rain during the race seventy-five thousand fans were encouraging the drivers. It was an overwhelming experience both for fans and drivers, and at the same time a fantastic, unique and extremely exciting race with the participation and hard efforts of the Zengő Motorsport Team and it's talented young driver, Norbert Michelisz.

In view of all above facts – the perfect settling of the races, the fantastic atmosphere, the high-standards in all fields of organisation and the totally crowded events – it is easy to understand why Hungaroring has become one of the most favorite locations of the WTCC series. The management team of the Hungaroring Sport PLC. has started the organisation and all the arrangements are getting ready for the FIA WTCC Race of Hungary, 3rd-5th May. The Race Organizing Committee stood up and the tasks have been allocated.

So it will be a real springfeast with official FIA World Championship WTCC races. What's more on the starting grid we can welcome Norbert Michelisz again who won the first car-racing World Championship title for Hungary last year. The driver of the Zengo Motorsport Team won the FIA WTCC Yokohama Driver's Trophy. It was a huge success and glory!

His high performance was significant. This year he will race in WTCC with a Honda Civic. The Japanese factory provides three excellent racing cars for the season. One for Tiago Monteiro, one for Gabriele Tarquini and one for Norbert Michelisz. The support of the factory means that the Zengő Motorsport's driver can participate at each test and he will get all the latest developments so a real hi-tech racing car will be available for him throughout the season. The Zengo Motorsport Team remains a private team, and Monteiro and Tarquini will belong to the original Honda formation. However now with the support of Honda Michelisz will be count as original racer from 2013 and therefore he can not race as independent. Consequently Michelisz won't be able to protect his individual title but now he has the chance to make new dreams come true. And to exceed his previous results he will need again the encouriging support of the fanatic Hungarian autosport lovers, the support of that fantastic, enthusiastic audience, the support of his dedicated fans!

Therefore we are so glad about this relationship. Zengo Motorsport is a professional team, Norbi is very talented and he is a widely appreciated driver. It is honourable that they have chosen us and they gave confidence to our cars. We are happy that we can count on them, and we can contest together at the constructor's championship.
