Zalaerdő Zrt. owns five forestries that manage wildlife over a total area of 75,000 hectares. The Zala county landscape consisting of enormous, continuous blocks of forest, interspersed with farmland and vineyards, provides an excellent habitat for big game.

VADEX Mezőföldi Zrt. has been engaged in world-class wildlife management for decades. Its visitors, most of whom are foreigners, regularly return to enjoy the high-spirited and famously well-organised wild boar and pheasant hunts with big yields and to bag some excellent red deer, fallow stag and mouflon trophies.

Its five fallow deer CIC world record trophies are unrivalled. The first record-breaking Hungarian SCI trophy (a wild boar shot in 2011) was also bagged on this territory.

The hunting grounds and lodges of HM Budapest Forestry Zrt. are the closest destination for tourists arriving in the capital. The grounds cover 21,000 hectares of its own hunting territory in three different areas.

The forest management company manages hunting grounds totalling approximately 56,000 in the largest continuous floodplain area of Europe, at Gemenc, along the banks of the Danube, near the border, in the catchment basins of Béda and Karapancsa, and on the forested sand hills of Kiskunság.
