HM Kaszó Forestry Zrt.

The 18,000 hectares of continuous forest area and the adjacent 7,000 hectares of primarily agricultural farmland managed by HM Kaszó Erdőgazdaság Zrt. constitute the natural habitat of one of the top quality game stocks in Hungary. Wildlife management and maintenance is thus one of the primary responsibilities of the company.

The most important game species are red deer, fallow deer, wild boar and roe deer, providing valuable trophies (and perhaps even more valuable hunting memories) year after year.

At present the stock comprises 1,500 red deer, 500 fallow deer, 1,000 wild boars and 500 roe deer. The annual big game bag size is 1,500.

The most important hunting season of each year is September when the forests of Kaszó resound with the bellowing of red deer stags.

Hunting lodges: The HM Kaszó Zrt. Hunting Lodge and Resort can accommodate 80 visitors. Guests can choose between suites, rooms and gable rooms in the hunting lodge or cabins in the forest. Catering is supplied by Főherceg Fogadó (Archduke Inn), which offers Hungarian flavours and a variety of wild game dishes.
