The hunting ground of some 70,000 hectares is located in a primarily highland, forested area in the north-eastern part of the country at Bükk, Aggtelek Karst and the Zemplén Mountains. Unique flora and fauna lend it its magic.

The antlers of the red deer stags are striking and relatively light (5–9 kg). Fallow deer are found in one particular game preserve.

The territory has an open-field wild boar stock with a clear bloodline. The males are well grown with excellent, sound tusks. Several boars sporting tusks over 25 cm in length have been bagged on the Szin-Szelcepuszta hunting ground.

In the mountain environment mouflon preserve their original wildness, which increases their hunting value. The average length of their spiral horns is between 60–75 cm, but the horn length of some of the rams in the Tállya hunting ground exceeds 80–90 cm.

In mountainous regions the weight of deer antlers rarely exceeds 300 grams.
