Nature value Hegyesd
The volcanic residue hill has a conic form. Its castle was built as a Royal fortress of the Hungarian King in the 14th century. Its most famous lord was Miklós Újlaki, King of Bosnia, and Ambrus Sárkány the Palatine of Hungary. The Ottoman troups took the castle through deception in 1561, however it was reconquered and destroyed by Hungarian forces the next year.
