Not a usual spa town, but surely is worth a visit because of its wonderful landscape, caves, nature trails and forests.

Another not-to-miss natural treasure of the area is Lillafüred, this fairy-tale like tiny village right in the middle of the forest that surrounds the city of Miskolc. Opened in 1930, the Hotel Palace of Lillafüred, now a spa resort, has been welcoming high society for some time now. Next to the hotel you'll find the beautiful Lake Hámori and a waterfall (Hungary's highest!) on the Szinva stream, and there are the St. Stephen's Cave (dripstone) and Anna Cave (lime tufa) to visit. A short walk away you will find a narrow gauge railway, taking passengers through the forest passing the first trout farm of the country then crossing one of the most spectacular viaducts in Hungary.
