These forests have the White-tiled Eagle (Haliaëtus albicilla), Black Stork (Ciconia nigra), Red deer (Cervus elaphus) and Wild-boar (Sus scrofa) as trademark species. This is the most important hunting ground of Hungary; its flora is characterised by White Willow (Salix alba), Poplar (Populus nigra) forests as well all as the hardwood Querceto-Ulmetum forest association, with Summer snowflake (Leucojum aestivum), Bush clematis (Clematis integrifolia), Siberian Iris (Iris sibirica), European white water lily (Nymphea alba), (Scillia bifolia).
