Highlighted gastro events
Thematic year has launched on Great Restaurant Day 2016 on 11 February. The Year of Gastro Adventures will bring us large-scale, nationwide or even bigger-scale events. It will not only showcase high gastronomy, but local, regional culinaria and cuisine of national minorities too. Besides delicious dishes, premium quality local products and ingredients, thousand years old traditions forming Hungarian gastronomy and professional makers of food will also be emphasized.
In April food made open-air will play central role, highlighted during a series of spring picnics, while May will be the month of high gastronomy, connecting to Bocuse d'Or European chef contest, which for the first time will be held in Budapest on 10-11 May.
